This is Part III of "Departure".
Exploration is a returning theme in the work of Semiomime. Traversing through musical landscapes that could exist in both the secular and spiritual realms, his tracks are rich with detail and always seem to tell a story. What exactly this story is, is entirely up to the listener. Sounds always mean to suggest but never define. Melodies are meant to inspire but never control the imagination.
โDepartureโ is a series of EPs, divided into four chapters that all belong to the same tale. When listened to in succession, they become an album but when discovered individually, they feel like fragments of a dream, as experienced in those first fragile seconds upon waking up.
In this open world, free of burden and stress, the organic narrative can be allowed to grow and branch out in any possible direction. Or it can be put together like a puzzle, made up of constantly transposing pieces.
Imagination is key, just like it was when these songs were created.
